Changes To Dominica Citizenship & Passport Program
The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica has reshaped the rules governing its Citizenship by Investment programme [CBI]. The following changes came into effect from September15th, 2022
- Brothers and Sisters can no longer apply together in the same family pact. In other words, Siblings of the main applicant or the spouse of the Main Applicant are no longer allowed to apply as dependents.
- To qualify in the same family pact, Parents and Grandparents must be 65 years old and above. It’s no longer 55. They must also be largely supported by either the main applicant or by the spouse of the main applicant.
- US$25’000 for dependent children below the age of 18. Dependentchildren between 18 –30 will attract US$50’000 and must maintained by the main applicant or the main applicant’s spouse and enrolled in a recognized institution of higher learning.
- Daughters that are under the age of 25 and unmarried may qualify as dependents even without attending a recognized institution of higher learning. However, they must be living with and fully supported by the primary applicant or the primary applicant’s spouse. * Online Presence – Social Mediation
- Name changes now require the applicant to be resident in the Commonwealth of Dominica. You can only apply for name changes after five years of receipt of citizenship.
