ATHENS – With a history of 3,000 years, Athens, the capital of Greece, is the oldest still inhabited city in Europe. PASSPORT INVESTMENT

Greece’s Golden Visa programme grants permanent residency to investors purchasing Greek real estate at a minimum of €250,000, plus fees. Following seven full years of Greek residency, the investor will have the opportunity to apply for Greek citizenship and a passport. It is important to note that a citizenship application is a separate process to the golden visa programme and the two programmes are not directly linked. The applicant must also undertake an advanced language test to qualify for Greek citizenship.
