Golden Visas Programs

Two of the Caribbean 5, Dominica and St Kitts have been offering their Citizenship to affluent investors for decades.  St Kitts and Nevis was the first to start in 1984, immediately followed by the Commonwealth of Dominica in 1993.  Legally, there is not much of a difference between what the Caribbean Countries offer through donation or real estate investment route; all of them mainly offering visa-free entry to countries in the Schengen-Zone Area and more than a hundred other countries.  

Their new competitor, Vanuatu in the Pacific offers same benefits (the ability to visit 124 countries visa-free with two major advantages.  Vanuatu is market-leading in the efficiency of the application period and is a good cash effective solution in the citizenship industry.  However, it must be noted that the Caribbean 5 has a much wider number of visa-free destinations than Vanuatu; hence the significant strength of the Caribbean Countries Passports over Vanuatu. Notwithstanding, Vanuatu passport is still a valuable travel document for people whose passports have less than 120 visa free destinations.

Unlike the Caribbean 5 and Vanuatu which offers citizenship at the first opportunity, Countries offering the Golden Visa Programs employs a first residency step before attaining full fledge Citizenship at the front like the Caribbean 5 and Vanuatu.
